Class 1 Driver - Days

Permanent Position | Local Shunting & Hub Runs

We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver to join our day shift operation. This is a permanent position involving local shunting duties and scheduled hub trunking, offering regular work and consistent hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out local shunting movements between sites and customer locations.
• Complete scheduled hub runs, ensuring timely and safe transportation of freight.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and professionalism.
• Comply with all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulations.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver compliance and safety requirements.
• A punctual, flexible, and customer-focused approach.
• Previous pallet network experience would be advantageous, but not essential.

Night Hub Runs | Average 13-Hour Shifts

We are seeking experienced and dependable Class 1 Drivers to join our night operation. The role primarily involves trunking freight to and from network hubs, with an average shift length of approximately 13 hours per night.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete nightly hub runs in line with scheduled departure and arrival times.
• Ensure freight is transported safely, securely, and efficiently.
• Conduct thorough vehicle safety inspections before and after each shift.
• Accurately complete all transport documentation and POD requirements.
• Work closely with transport planners and hub staff to maintain service levels.
• Adhere to all legal compliance requirements, including Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive rules.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently during night operations.
• Previous trunking or pallet network experience is desirable.
