Simmonds Transport were happy to help with a vehcile for Woodside, Telford community allotments 2025
Good morning,
I'd just like to say thank you from both myself and those at the community allotments for allowing us to use a company vehicle to move the frame work for the new seating area.
It has been greatly appreciated.
The woodside allotments are part of a national association " leisure gardeners association"
It is run by a committee all who are plot holders on the site and volunteer there time to maintain and improve the site.
We run a shop on site that is open to the general public on weekends as well and all proceeds go towards the site.
There are annual flower and vegetable shows which pull in members of the wider community to visit as well as numerous events throughout the year, such as food and social events where proceeds are donated to the air ambulance charity.
What Simmonds assisted with was the moving of the oversized metal frames that are the new sheltered seating area around the firepit.
Its been a brilliant addition to the site and a new central hub of socialisation on the site.

Shifnal Carnival / Saturday 28th 29th July 2025

Shifnal Carnival / Saturday 29th July 2024
Simmonds Transport were delighted to offer our support at The Shifnal Carnival which took place on Saturday 29th June by offering one of our new Scania tractor units accompanied with a trailer which was decorated and entered into the Carnival for "Unite Performing Arts".
These were the comments we received from Unite Performing Arts:
THANK YOU for supplying the vehicle and Driver for our float entry into Shifnal Carnvial. As mentioned previously, this was the first time we'd entered and we couldn't have had any better support if we'd have wanted to from you and the driver. To go and win best float and best overall trophies left us speechless but the driver was a massive part of the day, and I can't thank you all enough for your support.

Serving Our Planet in a Small Way Where We Can With the Friends of Telford Town Park (FOTTP) Progress....
Simmonds are helping top fund improvements to a beautiful area with a pool in the park needing a bit of tlc.
The plan is to bring in more wildlife and improve accessibility for people to share and enjoy.

True North Bikers / Saturday 10th August 2024
Simmonds Transport were happy to provide there support to True North Bikers as they raised funds for the local community by doing a charity ride.
These were the comments we received from True north bikers:
True north bikers are a local riding group in Shropshire who care about the community we live in.
If you ride bikes or not , we believe in giving back as much as we are able to do and picking people up , we promote over coming mental health and also helping our veterans were ever we possibly can.
We started 6 months ago with a plan to raise funds and the plan was to ride bottom to top of the country in 24 hours people said it could not be done well we did it and overcome everything that came our way it was not easy in the slightest but we adapted and overcame.
The target was £4500 we manged to get the target within 6 weeks with the help from local businesses , myself personally and everyone from true north would like to massively thank yourselves for the support and look forward to working together in future events.
