Since becoming a shareholder back in November 2001, Simmonds Transport has become the major local
pallet distribution partner in the Shropshire and West Midlands region.
We now transport in excess of 1000 pallets every day as part of Palletline.
Interested in how this service can help you? – here’s a quick guide to how it works.
- Freight is collected & assigned to us as the local Palletline Member Company
- Freight is then checked & labelled appropriately
- Pallets are loaded onto trunk vehicles for onward delivery to the relevant Palletline hub
- All consignments are entered into Palletline’s computer system, ready for data transfer to the hubs & delivery depots
- Time-specific deliveries are pre-advised to the delivery depots to allow vehicle scheduling across the Palletline system
- On arrival at the hubs, freight is transferred onto Member
- Company vehicles serving each deliver address
- Trucks return to Palletline Member Company depot
- Deliveries are then effected at a local level
